THE ENVIRONMENT
Since the Second World War 95% of the wild flower meadows and hundreds of ponds have disappeared in Britain as a result of changing policies within our agricultural system. Due to this the habitats of many of our once common, and not so common species of flora and fauna have been greatly reduced.
Now attitudes, policies and conditions are altering. We would like to take our place as a contractor with the vision, knowledge and capabilities to work with our clients to increase the bio-diversity and therefore the quality of our environment and ultimately our surroundings.
We undertake sustainable practices and can offer a range of technologies and approaches to reduce environmental impact
- Grey water recycling and rain water harvesting
- Recycling and use of composted materials
- Design of drought tolerant planting
- Implementation of green walls and green roofs
- Sustainable drainage systems, permeable paving
- Reduction of run off into mains drains and sewers
- Soft landscaping solutions for urban areas
- Waste minimisation measures
- Maximum biodiversity within planting schemes
- Careful sourcing of hard landscape materials and strict observation of FSC and other codes
- Improvement of streetscape with structural tree planting and contextual landscape planting
